I have to say one thing, I have been developing in cf now for over 10 years and Hal is like a legend, or better put a mentor.

But sometimes you have to disagree with these people.

Some of it is very simple, yes make coldfusion stand out amongst others, but also give us the basics as well. If you are going to bake a cake without flour expect the poor results, but put the right ingredients in and look at the good results.

Hal, the only thing I can say is this. As a developer I have seen CF evolve to something that makes me stay with it, but the lack of proper OOP and only fudged OOP makes me cringe, at the end of the day we end up spending more time getting around this than we should.

So yes make our lives easier, give us what we ask for inheritance, constructors, abstract etc., and lets not have to worry about getting around the fact we do not have a pure OOP development language.
