Coldfusion 64bit Connectors
Tags: General, Coldfusion
How much longer is Adobe planning on keeping us 64bit users in suspense, I think that it is about time that they helped us out here.
So far Windows 64bit OS, can't install due to the 32bit connector. Now I just discovered that the Mac users have successfully done a compile to get it running on the new Mac OS.
So if anyone has a mod_jrun22.so that will work under linux I would more than happy to have you sent it my way. Otherwise I guess just need to place more pressure onto Adobe to get their acts together.
I mean, why do they post that they are working on it during the beta stages of Scorpio (ColdFusion 8) and then it is never supported. Please, Adobe please start supporting 64 bit Flash player, ColdFusion and Adobe reader I mean what the heck are you guys actually doing.

Ben Forta recently posted to stay tuned for an announcement re: 64-bit.

FWIW, a few years ago I had CF 6 and 7 running on RedHat with a 64bit JVM using JBoss and Tomcat instead of JRun. The server was an original Intel Itanium so there was no 32-bit software running at all.# Posted By Adrian J. Moreno | 11/19/07 12:35 PM -

Do not get me wrong, Coldfusion will run as an Enterprise solution under Jrun on 64 Bit machines without a problem. Just the connector doesn't:-(
Also Flash Player, Adobe Reader also do no run on 64 Bit Unix machines. Windows is different you can run 32 bit versions (Except the flash player for some reason) but Linux is different the 32bit versions will not even install:-(# Posted By Andrew Scott | 11/20/07 12:45 PM
