Windows Built in Firewall, is it as good as we hope

I had a suspicion that the built in windows firewall was not as good as it should be, and there is now proof that it doesn't protect your system at all. I was a big advocate of symantec and their products, but as it it slows the computer down I was getting less impressed with the product. When my subscription finished I didn't renewe and went looking for something a little better and cheaper.

The I came acorss this utility called Comodo firewall and although I think the antivirus software still needs to catch up, the fire wall application is great.

Anyway they have a test on their pages Test Your firewall, which when run shows that Microsoft's firewall program doesn't give you the full protection you would hope for.

But do not take my word for it, try it for yourself and even against you the firewall you use today and see if your firewall of choice can protect you as well.
