Windows Vista Experience Rating

If it wasn't for the fact that I have installed windows Vista twice on the same computer, I wouldn't have believed it if I had seen it for myself.

But I will ask how does microsoft work this rating system out, the website si clear enough, But look at the results for yourself. Both are complete fresh installs, the only difference is one has had Office installed and the other has Eclipse and Coldfusion installed.

Installation #1: Processor Rating 3.4 Memory and Ram Rating 4.5 Graphics Rating 5.8 Gaming Graphics Rating 3.1 Hard Disk 5.3

Installation #2: Processor Rating 2.4 Memory and Ram Rating 3.3 Graphics Rating 2.9 Gaming Graphics Rating 3.0 Hard Disk 5.2

Now the Graphics side of things I could understand, if the video card driver was different but they are the same drivers that Vista installed.

So how does this work, same processor yet there is an entire 1.0 difference. And memory and ram is 1.2 difference how does this happen.

I will quote something from a Microsoft employee... And so far I challenge this statement.

we've finally delievered a complete (bug free) operating system

i have found so many bugs this past week its not funny, like open up a console and then each and every subsequent console open will open a new file called conime.exe to the point I had 50 of these processors running. So yeah I guess by the fact there is a difference in the rating system that can't be explained just yet, tells me there is no bugs.. Yeah right, nice claim.
