Eclipse hidden gem

Or maybe its not..While doing some work on a project the other day, I actually hit compare against local history. Now I had see this here a number of times, only this time I clicked it by accident. What I discovered was that when I saved a file, a snapshot of the file was captured and at any time you can do a compare against previous versions. This is not a bad feature and is located in the team section, why I am not sure as you do not need to have a repository (SVN or similar) installed as a plugin in to use it.
I think it is well worth noting, because many times we develop and have had times that we want to revert to something a few days ago. And I really hate using a source repository for anything else than what it was designed for, stable code.
By default the amount of revisions is limited as well as days it is kept for, but these can be changed in the settings under Window > Preferences > General > Workspace > Local History.
