Coldfusion IDE Codenamed Bolt

Well I think by now and unless you have been hiding under a rock, you would have all heard about the new IDE codenamed Bolt.

So what is Bolt, well at the moment not 100% sure. However what I can speculate on is what Adobe might have planned.

With all the products that Adobe now has in its arsenal, it now makes perfect sense to find something to integrate all these technologies.

Now before I hear about Dreamweaver, it will not run on a 64 OS and I believe that it will never be seen as a tool of choice by serious Programing Engineers.

So with the advent of Flex Builder, adobe chose to use this as the basis for the IDE to provide for getting the job done no matter what the platform. Dreamweaver cant provide this without a serious overhaul, and that's where I believe Bolt will come into it.

Now that it has been shown at max that Adobe are thinking about runat="server" this is beginning to open up a series of new doors to the rest of its product line, and provide a better and more enjoyable environment further down the track.

Could you imagine being able to run CFML in Flex?
