Microsoft can you get anything right, part 2!!

Well it seems I am on a role today with Microsoft, and after playing with Windows 7 for sometime now. I decided to migrate some settings from Vista, over to Windows 7 so that I could begin to use it more efficently.

But I discovered a flaw that made me laugh. In my previous post on the subject title, I discovered that even the most simplest of things don't get tested when streaming albums over to the Xbox 360.

Now I discovered a Windows easy transfer problem, that just makes that last statement even more so. I use Internet Explorer for all my RSS feeds, and have a lot that I subscribe too. And they are all categorised into folders, so that I can eyeball what feeds are what. Well it seems that these folders don't get transfered, and creates eveything in the root node of the feed tree.

Now surely something like this should be tested to see if it works under certain conditions, or is that just asking too much from this company?

  • Andrew Scott's Gravatar Windows 7 is beta yes, except that I also tried migrating the settings to another machine which was running Windows Vista business with the same results.

It should also be noted that when manually doing this, it worked flawlesly on Windows 7.
