Twitter Worms Mutating Fast and More on the Way
Tags: Twitter
Soon after Twitter began removing the first cross-site worm to hit its site this weekend, has seen a new modified strain take on were the last one left off. It's maybe not the last one that we have seen with the expectation that there will be more on the way.
It is certainly not over, it will be no surprise that we will begin to see more variants of this over time.
According to Breaking News, Mikeyy Mooney a 17yo owner of StalkDaily.com has been reported to admitting to the attacks over the last 2 days.
<quote>
"I am the person who coded the XSS which then acted as a worm when it auto updated a users profile and status, which then infected other users who viewed their profile. I did this out of boredom, to be honest. I usually like to find vulnerabilities within websites and try not to cause too much damage, but start a worm or something to give the developers an insight on the problem and while doing so, promoting myself or my website."

The new variant to surface has something like: "Man, Twitter can't fix shit. Mikeyy owns:)" and it is best to not click on any link that has this or any link that refers to Mikeyy.
