Sean Corfield joins the Railo team
Tags: Coldfusion, Railo
I guess by now everyone has read his blog announcement, that he will now be joining the Railo team as CTO for the USA division. So why am I blogging it, well technically I am not announcing that.
There really isn't much I can say that hasn't been said on Sean's blog, Broadchoice Workspace is a fantastic offering as well as a product that huge potential. The announcement that Sean has been offered a position on a product that will help shape the future of CFML, is also no surprise and I guess it would have been more of a surprise if he didn't join them.
The announcement that Railo was going to become open source as of version 3.1, sent a lot of excitement through the community. The same was true when New Atlanta did the same with openBD, and although I think Railo is by far a more polished open source CFML engine than openBD, as Sean stated openBD is continuing to grow strength by strength and will continue to do so.
Sean we wish you all the best of luck with your new CTO position with Railo, and along with the other developers who are heading up the team over there, can only mean that the direction the product is moving in can only mean better things are yet to come.
