Twitter creates a Sign in with Twitter

With all the sites now appearing offering you services with the Twitter API, it comes as no surprise that Twitter has released a new feature to some select developers.
In the same way that openID and Facebook Connect works it gives 3rd party sites the chance to provide you with their services, but you are no longer having to look out for whether it is a trust worthy website or not.
This seems to be a huge step forward in that direction by the developers at Twitter, but it also opens up more of your habits to these 3rd party sites as well. Unlike Facebook Connect where it is locked down to you giving other parties access to certain data, Twitter seems to be more open and not that what you tweet is closed anyway, unless you make it private from being searched.
