Do you use a Mac, are you sure you are not compromised?

One of the things that the Windows platform has over the Apple Mac's, is that the hackers go where there is more chance to get what they need.

But is that attitude going to be something that Apple can ignore?

It is well known that the Apple Mac can be compromised via Viruses and Trojan's, but what is more surprising is that attitude of Apple on these matters. Can the keep ignoring the fact that the OS can and maybe is getting compromised?

Make up your own mind

Please show me one instance of a virus on OS X. Please. Or for that matter, Linux. Sorry to burst your bubble.

But there hasn't been one virus yet for these platforms.

  • Andrew Scott's Gravatar Hmm let me see...

Staog was the first virus ever scripted for the Linux operating system. It was initially detected in the fall of 1996, with the exploited vulnerabilities being discovered shortly thereafter.

And the Mac, OSX/Inqtana.A is a Java-based worm that exploits the directory traversal vulnerability in the Bluetooth file and object exchange services in Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger).
