ColdFusion Builder V2 error when importing an existing project

I had reported this and can't find the bug number, however you will come across this at some stage so here is a work around. I do know that adobe marked this as can't produce, yet I am able to produce this 100% of the time.

The problem is very simple when dealing with projects from ColdFusion Builder V1, and trying to import them into ColdFusion Builder V2.

Normally one would try to import an existing ColdFusion project, and this throws an error when dealing with CFB1 projects. The work around is to select the general -> import existing project, which will only import the project.

Then all you need to do is apply CFNature to the project and that is it, why this doesn't work the other way only the Adobe Engineers can explain.

  • Scott Stgroz's Gravatar I have not had any issues importing projects created with CF Builder 1. And all the projects I am currently working on were created with CF Builder 1. Operator error, perhaps?

  • Andrew Scott's Gravatar Scott, I will point out that as I do have CFB1 installed and CFB2 installed on two sepaate computers. I have no problem importing the project back into CFB1, I have tried this import a number of times on CFB2.

I am not sure how it can be user error, as there is nothing to get wrong.
