Well I ran into an interesting problem with ColdFusion Builder 2, and the file view just not working. At first I thought it might have been the version of Eclipse called Indigo or better know as Eclipse 3.7, as it turns out it is ColdFusion Builder at fault.

The number one feature on my list, and I am sure that so many others would have to agree. In my last blog post I outlined how much time was wasted in trying to get something that might seem very basic to some, but it has highlighted the need for it anyway.

Well it might not be, however I will say that I downloaded this and got everything setup with ease, more on that a bit later on. The one thing that I will have to note though, is how much faster this version is, and when running the 64bit version it is a bit of heaven.

Well technically it hasn't killed it, but I have had to remove the hotfix, due to it causing more issues than it was suppose to fix. After reading more about the hotfix that was recently released, I decided that it doesn't effect me and I won't be needing it at this point in time.

I had reported this and can't find the bug number, however you will come across this at some stage so here is a work around. I do know that adobe marked this as can't produce, yet I am able to produce this 100% of the time.
The problem is very simple when dealing with projects from ColdFusion Builder V1, and trying to import them into ColdFusion Builder V2.

I noticed something something today that shocked me beyond belief.
For sometime now I have used an Eclipse install and have installed ColdFusion Builder 1, and now ColdFusion Builder 2 beta and got used to the long load times.
But it wasn't CFB1 or CFB2 that was at fault.

One of the new features to ColdFusion Builder 2 is the Task Tags or what most of us know as a Todo list, but there is a little more to it than meets the eye.

Unless you have been living under a rock, then you would have missed that ColdFusion Builder 2 is sitting on Adobe Labs, currently sitting as a public beta.
So far I have not really seen any difference in using this product, in comparison with builder Version 1 . Now I state this in using the product to do my work, and I really don't see any difference in the way I use it. Which I believe if this is the case would the new features be worth the upgrade, the answer is maybe not for me.

It is no secret that Adobe has been hard a t work trying to get ColdFusion Builder 1.0, in as many hands as possible. By bundling it with Flash Builder and the Enterprise version of ColdFusion 9.0, to even giving away a lot of copies to push the product out there into the market.
But I feel that Adobe hasn't done enough in the right places, to make those that already have either purchased the product or given a free copy, have any confidence in the product to date.

Today we had an interesting discussion on this very subject, now we already have one in place. Yet we have varying opinions on why we should do something, but nothing really concrete as the real truth as to why it should be this or that way. I personally have grown to love the fact that the beginning of a block is on the same line as the method, component class or loops etc. My logic behind this is that it is neater, doesn't clutter the workspace and fairly easy to read.
However my logic just doesn't end there.

Well I updated my ColdFusion Builder plug-in installation today to the latest release updater 1, only to find that it actually didn't update at all.
Running the check for updates says that it has been updated, and that there are no updates available. So I would expect this to have been updated.
Not to be.
